- The thing about having eyes that don’t self-rinse is that tears don’t come easily. For normal daily functions that’s not a big deal, but on Thursdays, when I want to cry and inside from my gut to my heart to my throat everything gets tight, but no tears will come, it’s hard, it physically hurts ... Thursday afternoons start out great: with my daughter I visit my father and my 95-year old grandmother for lunch and conversation. But after that I go visit my Mom, who has Alzheimer’s and is in a home.... I play music for her, and will sing for her, and just hold her hand... I hope it makes some difference in her day. I’m not sure how much she knows it’s me, or if she just thinks I’m some random kind person... but today when I let go of her hand to go, she reached out and caught me by the wrist... I sat back down, my heart so full. And wished I could cry. . .. .. If there’s someone you ought to tell that you love and appreciate, this is your public service announcement to do so. ❤️. . . #bodymindspirit #alzheimers #alzheimersawareness #family #givewithoutexpecting
